Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is marked by three most predominant characteristics, namely

1. Lack of communication
2. Poor socialization skills
3. Repetitive behavior.

This April, Autism Awareness Month, we at MHT India aim to bring to you multiple research-backed blogs, podcasts, webinars, and products, curated by mental health professionals, in order to spread awareness about this mental disorder that is being seen in growing numbers in recent times.

ARULA is based on the binding energy between a mother and the child. Every mother of an autistic child wants her child to be as normal as possible. She wants her child to speak. ARULA promises every mother a well-developed child with better communication.

Intrigued?

ARULA, as a program, focuses on the following areas:

  • Speech and Language
  • Social Communication
  • Self-dependence
  • Overcoming negative behaviors

ARULA is in the form of a 21-day program. It is a 3-week program including various activities and therapy sessions usually in the form of video clips so that the activities can be portrayed very efficiently through actual demonstrations that are mostly performed by Ms. Mayuri herself. The whole program would comprise 21 video clips for the 21 days. Each video clip, released per day, will comprise one activity that has to be carried out by the mother herself.

When carried out with utmost dedication and concentration, every day for 3 weeks, ARULA guarantees good results in the form of insights in the mother so as to better understanding how to work with her child and in time, increase the communication.
