Anxiety is a state of apprehension or chronic worry about something that is going to happen. Dealing with anxiety can be a very challenging task if not managed appropriately. It can affect an individual’s mental health very adversely.
Feeling anxiety is a normal emotion and can happen to anyone but when that state becomes a hinderance in day to day functioning, it becomes problematic and starts affecting mental health adversely. Dealing with anxiety then becomes a mandatory task for that individual.
There are various types of anxieties that can affect mental health of the individual. A normal state of worry can become an extreme phobia, or fear or an obsession if that anxiety is not dealt with. It can start from a mere feeling of butterfly in the stomach leading to a state where the individual experiences fastened heart rate, palpitations, sweating, dizziness and so on. It can also affect the mental health by limiting the individual from engaging in certain activities that gives them anxiety, ultimately distancing them from what can give them happiness.
