After the phenomenal response we received for our first live; MHT Live | In Conversation With The Team Behind ‘A Story About Depression’ By FilterCopy | Ms.Pallavi Kedia | Ms.Preksha Khanna, we were flooded with request to do more of such content. One request that seemed more like a demand was to get the actor who played Arman in the said video to come and share his personal experience while shooting for the same.
With 2M plus views, the video on YouTube by FilterCopy stuck a chord with the millennials and made some serious connect with individuals fighting for depression. When the MHT team saw the video, we were awed with the portrayal of this otherwise stigmatized disorder and the efforts put in by the actors, writer, director and the whole crew, in making this so relatable.
Hence, we then reached out to Mr. Ayush Nathani and asked him to come on MHT live and share some stories about depression, particularly about his journey from Arman to Ayush and how was the experience like; working with filtercopy team, filtercopy cast and whether he faced any stigma around the same.
Watch this MHT Live to know Mr. Nathani’s journey as a filtercopy actor, his understanding of depression and it’s symptoms, the stigma around this mental illness and how he, as an actor, copes with the stressors in his life.
Mr. Ayush Nathani
Mr. Ayush Nathani is a full-time actor and filmmaker. Coming from the educational background of engineering, not choosing it as a profession was never a question for him. However, deep inside, he used to feel and breathe through films, stories and camera. One fine day, he decided to follow his passion and started his journey with theatre and acting. His ultimate dream is to star in a feature film and also direct one himself. Ayush likes to live in the present moment and make the most of his time on this planet.

Watch the Video: FilterCopy | A Story about Depression
A Story about Depression follows the life of Armaan, who appears to be cheerful and energetic on the outside, but deals with loneliness, anxiety and depression in the moments he spends alone with himself. Through the video, we see him juggle between this outside persona and his internal struggle, which heightens throughout, culminating in him getting exhausted. The video ends with him finally confiding in the one person he is closest to and accepts his need for help.
