Gestalt Therapy is a popular approach to psychotherapy which is client-centred in its orientation. Developed by a world-renowned psychotherapist, Fritz Perls, this therapy is heavily based on the principle that humans are best understood when viewed as a whole entity, complete body, mind and soul. This therapy aims to alter client’s perceptions towards self, life and teaches them to not be reliant on their past experiences but to bring back the past into the present and eventually, look at the same from a different light that is less critical in nature.
