autism spectrum disorder

This April, Autism Awareness Month, We at MHT India bring to you a series of conversations with mental health professionals about the neurodevelopmental disorder; Autism and also look at the various therapies that are used by practitioners actually working in the field.

In this conversation, we talk to a professional who practices art based therapy; Ms. Sonali Nalawade and know from here more about the struggles faced by people on the spectrum. We also talk about this particular form of therapy, how art based therapy can help, and also discuss some “do at home” activities that can be extremely beneficial if done right. There are many activities that can be done under art based therapy, however, it’s always advisable to consult a professional before trying any of the same at home.
